AIPHDCET- Eligibility and Exam pattern

The candidates who will be having four year degree qualification in accordance with the Ph.D. Regulations 2022 dated 7 th November 2022 are eligible to apply. It will be applicable to Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Commerce & Management and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.

Eligibility

The applicant shall have secured 55% or more marks in masters or its equivalent CGPA grade for general category and 5% less for reserve category. The candidate seeking admission after a 4- year/8semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed. A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.

Selection of candidate under JRF category:

DMIHER (DU) is offering 25 stipendiary posts of Junior Research Fellows (JRF) to the selected Doctoral Scholars enrolled under the Doctoral Degree Programme, across all faculties namely Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Interdisciplinary Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Commerce & Management & Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

The tenure for Fellowship under the DMIHER (DU) Doctoral Fellowship Program is for three [3] years and shall commence from the date of registration for Ph.D. (approval of synopsis by DRC).

A separate notification shall be issue by the University from eligible registered candidates for selection to the post of JRF.

• The JRF shall devote full time to research during the tenure of the fellowship and will not be permitted to take any part-time/full-time assignments.
• The nature of the candidature (Full-time Doctoral Fellow) will not be changed during the program.
• The Ph.D. rules/ regulations and disciplinary rules of the University will be applicable to all admitted candidates under this Program.
• The JRF shall furnish an undertaking that in case of leaving the seat within the duration of Fellowship, he/she shall be liable to refund the entire amount of stipend received by him/her till the date of his/her leaving the Program.
• The Ph.D. Scholars shall be admitted under the Doctoral Fellowship Program of DMIHER (DU) and shall not have any claim to a job, or any other claim related to employment in DMIHER (D.U.).
• Selection of JRF shall be done as per university rules.

Eligibility of International Candidates for Admission to the Doctoral Program (Ph.D.)

• Any candidate who has passed Post Graduate Degree (Master’s Degree) Examination of the Statutory Foreign University or an examination recognized as equivalent there to recognized as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in India or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s Degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body in the concerned/relevant subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).
• Applications which are received through the GOI, under ‘Study in India’ portal.
• Equivalence certificate issued by the AIU for PG degree and marks for credit.
• Relevant documents & Certificates (Mark-sheet & degree Certificate of qualifying Exam, Transcript) in English language.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION FOR AIPHDCET (JULY) 2023 EXAM.

• All the eligible candidates who desire to appear for AIPHDCET(JULY) 2023 shall    submit duly filled application form available on the website of DMIHER(DU)

• The AIPHDCET (JULY) 2023 Entrance Exam fees can also be paid online by NEFT/RTGS as per Bank details given below.

Last date of submission of applications is 31st July.2023.

• Incomplete application form shall be rejected.
• Date of Examination: 13.08.2023 (Sunday)
• Re-examination (Only Related to Technical Issues) : 17-08-2023(Thursday)
• The exam shall be conducted on the online proctored mode.

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION FOR THE DMIHER (DU) AIPHDCET JULY 2023

 The pattern of the AIPHDCET JULY-2023 examination for Faculty of Medicine / Dentistry / Ayurveda / Physiotherapy/ Interdisciplinary sciences /Allied Health sciences shall be as under:

• The Examination shall be of MCQ pattern.
• There shall be 100 MCQs with 4 options.
• The question paper shall comprise of questions based on–
• Questions pertaining Research Methodology–50 in Number.
• Questions pertaining to the core specialty and subject in which the PG degree is obtained– 50 in Number.
• There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.
• Subject wise syllabus has been uploaded on the University website for handy reference.
• The total duration of the examination shall be 120 minutes in two sections of 60 minutes each.

The pattern of the AIPHDCET JULY-2023 examination for Faculty of Engineering and Technology shall be as under:

• There will be total 65 questions. Distribution will be as follows:
• Syllabus-as applicable for GATE/NET examinations.

The pattern of the AIPHDCET JULY-2023 examination for Faculty of Commerce & Management shall be as under:

• There will be two papers 1st for Research Methodology (50 MCQ’s) and 2nd  for core subject (100MCQ’s).Distribution will be as follows:
• Syllabus-as applicable for GATE/NET examinations

The pattern of the AIPHDCET JULY-2023 examination for Faculty Pharmaceutical Sciences shall be as under:

• There will be 125 questions (MCQ’s).Distribution will be as follows:
• Syllabus-as applicable for GPAT examination.

The pattern of the AIPHDCET JULY-2023 examination for Faculty of Nursing shall be as per the Indian Nursing Council Notification dated 6th November 2019.

Applications are invited from eligible scholars who have obtained:-

• M.Phil. (Nursing) or M.Sc.( Nursing) or a Post Graduate degree in Nursing recognized by Council with 3 years teaching  or Clinical experience after  M.Sc.( Nursing) for enrolment for Ph.D. in Nursing (part- time) under Faculty of Nursing in respective University.
• The scholars should have passed M.Sc.( Nursing)  with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Working in Teaching Institution /Hospital/Community Centre/Nursing Department within the University jurisdiction.

Criteria for Selection

• Selection for the Ph.D. Program will be based on merit either by entrance or by M.Sc. (Nursing) (minimum 60% marks).
• If the University opts to conduct entrance examination, then  selection for the Ph.D. Program of the candidate will be based on
• Entrance test marks obtained out of 90 marks.(Minimum weightage pass marks for entrance will be 60% of 90 i.e. 54).
• 5 marks for candidates possessing M.Phil. in Nursing.
• 5 marks weightage for publication.

General Instructions :

• The Examination shall be conducted in an on-line proctored manner. The login ID of the examination shall be sent to the students 24 hours prior to the examination.
• The students should ensure uninterrupted electricity supply and internet connectivity with optimum speed during the period of examination.
• The login must be made from own laptop or Desktop only. The use of mobile phone is barred.
• A mock test shall be conducted for orientation of the eligible candidates two days prior to the AIPHDCET JULY 2023.
• Candidates with valid GATE/NET/PET score for the faculties of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering & Technology and Management Sciences are exempted from appearing at the AIPHDCET written Examination. However, appearing for the Personal Interview is mandatory.
